Upcoming Charter Yacht Shows: November - December 2018

As we come up on the second half of 2018, we’ve got a full calendar of charter yacht shows lined up to kick off another beautiful yachting season. From the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean to the Andaman Sea in Southeast Asia, these upcoming fall yacht shows offer a wide variety of vessels and crews in an even wider array of scenic destinations. Read on for a run-down of the top charter yacht shows coming up in the second half of 2018.

The BVI Charter Yacht Show will herald the opening of the Caribbean cruising season for its 37th time this year, from the Nanny Cay Resort and Marina in the British Virgin Islands. From November 6 through November 9, this event will showcase a fleet of 75 yachts that encapsulate its brand of affordable luxury. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with industry professionals, tour a wide selection of yachts, and liaise with captains and crews to outfit their clients with the perfect charter for the upcoming season. The event also offers seminars, lunches, yacht hops, and a culinary contest featuring participating chefs.

Taking place on St. Thomas and hosted by the Virgin Islands Charter League, the VIPCA USVI Charter Yacht Show will give brokers the opportunity to tour more than 50 luxury yachts. From its space at the IGY Yacht Haven Grand, the event will showcase chefs’ and crews’ skills through culinary and cocktail contests while allowing brokers to choose between a wide array of scheduled social and networking events. This year’s event will mark the USVI Charter Yacht Show’s 44th iteration and will take place over four days in November.

The Antigua Charter Yacht Show will be back from December 4 through December 10 of 2018, showcasing premier superyachts from its locations at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Falmouth Harbor Marina, and Nelson’s Dockyard Marina. This year’s full schedule includes opportunities to participate in day cruises, seminars, and lunches in the afternoons, as well as cocktail hours and yacht hops in the evenings. Attendees will have a full week to network with industry professionals, meet captains and crews, and familiarize themselves with the finest superyachts in the region. In addition to the annual culinary competition, stewards and stewardesses will participate in a themed tablescaping competition.

The Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous, showcasing top-of-the-line superyachts, will take place in Phuket, Thailand from December 7 through December 9, 2018. This invitation-only event offers attendees three days of relaxed luxury on an oceanfront resort in the Andaman Sea where, though only in its third year, it is quickly becoming the premier superyacht event of the region. Scheduled activities include yacht hops and the Kata Rocks Season Opening Party, as well as cocktail parties, wine tastings, lunches, and the opportunity to preview flagship yachts before the opening of Southeast Asia’s charter season.
