Crew Profile
CAPTAIN – Panagiotis Ntakos
Panagiotis grew up in Elefsis. An avid skier since his youth, Panagiotis all-around love of the outdoors ultimately led him to the Greek Merchant Marine Academy in 2002. Panagiotis spent his undergraduate years at the Merchant Marine Academy not only gaining his knowledge of marine engineering and navigation, but also participating as a Varsity member and Fleet Captain of the Offshore Sailing Team. He enjoys racing sailboats in his leisure time; and yet, since his departure from the Academy, he has applied his skills & knowledge to a variety of professional marine positions on motor yachts. His wide knowledge, pleasant personality and professionalism ensure that your vacation will be everything you expect.
CHIEF OFFICER – Elias Kalpouzos
Elias has 10 years’ experience in the marine industry. He started his career on cruise ships carrying thousands of passengers daily. In 2014 he entered yachting and since then he has served on M/Y Sapphire, M/Y Obsesion and M/Y Al Mirqab. He holds numerous certificates and diplomas such as 2nd Officer certificate, Advanced LSA, Ship Security Officer Certificate, Ro-Ro V2, ECDIS, Rya Power Boat Level 2 and a speed boat license. His love for yachting provides Elias with the passion to research and organize all kinds of activities for the enhancement of the onboard experience. He is an experienced toy operator, a multi-tasking person with great team spirit and enthusiasm. He is married and speaks fluent English.
ENGINEER – Victoras Houmis
Victoras is 38 years old, Greek national. He holds an A Class Engineer’s Certificate and a speed boat license. Also, he has attended many seminars re engines and generators. He has worked on vessels and since 2005 has been on board various charter yachts including Ramina and A&I. Victoras keeps the engine room in perfect condition. He speaks English and enjoys all water sports.
CHEF – Panagiotis Palatos
Panagiotis is a graduate of both Greek and German Culinary Institutes. He has worked as a Chef and Executive Chef in several five star hotels and luxurious restaurants in both countries before joining the yachting industry. He was also Professor of cooking faculty Palmier, Member of Greek Cook Olympic Team, Member of Eurotogue Greece, he was presenting a cooking section in a TV Show for 3 years and he holds a Second Pan at the Hellenic competition of cooking.Panagiotis specializes in Mediterranean & International cuisine. He also masters specific requests, such as Kosher meals. Panagiotis is very passionate about his cuisine, eager to tailor make his guests’ menus and keen to present them with gastronomic extravagances or simple, heavenly tastes. He speaks English and German. He is 37 years old and married with two children. He has come from M/Y Alexandra, Benetti 50 m.
CHIEF STEWARDESS – Jenny Papadopoulos
Jenny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Tourism and English commercial Correspondence. She has worked onboard cruise ships before joining the yachting industry. She has come from the famous Charter Yacht ALEXANDRA Benetti 50m. Her hospitality and communication skills are second to none. She has an eye for the detail and she maintains the highest levels of service at all times. Jenny speaks English, French, Italian and basic German and Arabic. She loves travelling and reading.
2nd STEWARDESS – Maria Kinalopoulou
Maria is a successful stewardess and massage therapist with her experience to range from luxury yachts to holiday resorts and restaurants. Able to communicate well at all levels, experienced in team work environment and well respected personality makes her a big asset to the crew. She holds a Diploma on commercial enterprises, on Holistic massage, Advanced Therapy techniques and Reiki. She has worked on M/Y Sunrise, M/Y Ledra and M/Y Domino the last 4 years. Maria is 35 years old and speaks English. During her free time she enjoys travelling, music and yoga.
STEWARD/DECK HAND – Ilias Charitou
Ilias is 29 years old, a Greek national. He has worked in luxurious restaurants and five star hotels before joining Barents Sea. He is very familiar with the yacht as he served onboard for two years as Panther 2. He is extremely polite and his hard working character assures you a pleasant stay. He speaks English. He loves playing the guitar and football.
DECK HAND – Nikos Sfikas
Greek, born in 1967. Nikos holds a Seaman’s certificate and speed boat license. He has worked on various motor yachts and he has been onboard since the delivery of the yacht. Nikos, has proved to be a hard working individual with great knowledge of the Yacht. He enjoys fishing. He is married and has one child.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
