M/V BONAPARTE is a successful charter yacht since 2014 based in Nassau Bahamas. BONAPARTE is owner operated by Capt Francois and Chef Annette plus one additional crew Member for a service level equivalent to a much larger yacht . After an extensive 14 month refit in 2014 she has been maintained in Bristol condition with an extensive yearly refit program since then. Everyone enjoy the sight of a classic yacht: The woodwork, the impeccably varnished mahogany cap rail, the timeless beauty of Sparkman and Stevens design. In addition to tastefully decorated accommodations, guests particularly enjoy relaxing on the large forward teak deck protected by a sun awning. Guests stretch out on the cushioned bow seats to read, relax and daydream in the balmy breezes. A teak table and captain's chairs are easily set up for comfortable dining for 8 on the foredeck. The weather-protected aft deck is the ideal romantic setting for al fresco dining with newly upholstered seating for up to 10 people. M/V BONAPARTE provides well-appointed accommodations for 6 guests in 3 aft cabins: The en suite master has a King bed, the VIP has a Queen and the guest cabin has a double bed. The VIP and Guest cabin share the second head and shower. all cabins have individual A/C controls. Granite counters and vessel sinks add a contemporary touch of luxury. Annette and Francois have been manning this ship for the last 6years. they are very personable and congenial hosts. Sophisticated, outgoing and discrete, they are always attuned to their guests' moods. They enjoy sharing their passion for yachting, creating memorable moments and pampering their guests from sun-up to sundown. They have found all the best anchorages and snorkeling spots in the Exumas and have become friends with many charming Bahamians who enjoy sharing all the islands have to offer with visitors. Annette and Francois excel in creating a magical atmosphere on board, helping their guests to 'decompress' from their demanding lifestyles and reconnect with their inner child. 'Playtime in paradise' starts early in the day and continues well into the evening onboard M/V Bonaparte. Enjoy the Bahama's crystal clear waters to the fullest with all the water toys - snorkel gear for everyone, 2 tandem kayaks, 2 SUP's for exploring and a dive compressor for Certified divers. M/V BONAPARTE has stabilizers and cruises at 9 knots with economical fuel consumption of 16 GPH. AC throughout.

Timeless interior decor with warm wood, granite, LED lighting, and subtle contemporary touches. Aft master cabin has a king-size bed and bath with granite vanity and vessel sink, tiled stall shower and toilet. Two guest cabins have one double bed each and share the second bath with granite vanity, shower and toilet.

THE CAPTAIN
Francois Gagnon is passionate about sailing and motor boats. Raised on the shore of the St. Lawrence River near Montreal, Quebec, he has been boating since the age of 6, learning to handle boats in all kinds of weather. Francois has 40 years experience in sailing and motor boating and has developed a keen sense of what to expect on the water. A licensed captain, he displays a cool, calm and collected attitude which inspires confidence and excels in boat handling, navigation, maintenance and equipment repairs. He is a skillful planner and organizer of cruising expeditions.
After graduating from McGill University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Francois founded a successful engineering firm specializing in industrial energy efficiency. Captain Gagnon is the father of two grown children with whom he has cruised extensively in the Bahamas aboard their sailboat PERLA and families are very welcome aboard BONAPARTE, indeed! He is also aa PADI Certified Diver, master swimmer and keen spearfisherman. Fresh lobster for dinner, anyone?!
THE CHEF
Annette St. Cyr was introduced to cruising when she met Francois 20 years ago. Shortly afterwards, she embarked on a year-long sailing trip along the US East Coast to the Bahamas during which time she developed excellent skills as mate, hostess and chef. Trained as an educator for children with special needs, she was tremendously successful in her field and appreciated by parents and children alike who followed her workshop sessions.
Annette enjoys catering to guest needs and is very attentive to details. She reads non-verbal communication very well which helps her and Francois - respond to your needs and desires before you even know about them!! Annette has a sixth sense for hospitality, always paying attention to your well-being. She enjoys cooking fabulous meals, especially desserts, which she whips up in no time, to everyones delight. By all means, bring your children. They will be delighted by all the ways Annette entertains them and makes them feel comfortable onboard BONAPARTE.
Francois and Annette are passionate about yachting. They want to share their passion with you by creating an atmosphere conducive to enchantment, peace, pleasure and contentment. We are a Captain and Mate couple who enjoy creating a wonderful vacation experience on BONAPARTE just for you. If you want to learn about boating, we will teach you everything we know. If you just want to lounge and relax, we will make sure you get what you want. The yacht is yours for the period of your stay and we want to make everything as perfect as we can.
Whatever destination you choose, your stay aboard M/V Bonaparte will be memorable. Francois is an experienced skipper who likes adventure and fun. But he also runs a tight ship to ensure safety at all times! Annette is a gourmet cook whose menu is designed around classic dishes created from fresh ingredients and tailored to your taste. This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
