Captain: George Sakellaropoulos (Greek)
Captain George holds an A' class diploma and he started his career as a captain in 1990 onboard cargo and passenger vessels. He has been serving the yachting industry onboard private and charter yachts for more than twenty years. Some of his previous yachts are M/Y Blue Eyes, M/Y Option B, M/Y Aegean Breeze and M/Y Day Off. Captain George brings a very positive attitude to his work, he is extremely hardworking and a committed captain. He has extensive knowledge of the Greek coastline as well as the Mediterranean and his experience so far has given him strong organizational skills to execute successful charters. He speaks English and in his free time he enjoys sports and reading.
Engineer: Eftratios Koinonis (Greek)
Efstratios was born in 1987 and he is a Greek national. He has graduated from the Engineering department of the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and during winter he is studying to obtain his MSc in Maritime Operation and Management. He has worked on cargo, tanker and passenger ships before joining yachting. He serves onboard M/Y GIOE I with great enthusiasm and professionalism. Efstratios is a very polite person with passion for the sea. His hobbies are modalism, drawing and reading. He speaks fluent English.
Chef: Konstantinos Mousis (Greek)
Konstantinos holds a Chef's diploma from “Le Monde” culinary institute in Athens and has attended many seminars hosted by famous Greek chefs such “Mediterranean Gastronomy”, “Meat and Seafood” , “Oenology” among others. In his past experience, he has worked at various hotels and restaurants. Konstantinos joined Gioe I in 2021. He is a young and talented chef with passion for the Greek gastronomy. He loves working with local fresh products using modern techniques and enjoys creating tailor made menus for the guests. Konstantinos speaks English and basic French.
Steward: Nikos Kanellopoulos (Greek)
Nikos was born in 1967 in Greece and he holds an A Class Steward license. He is a professional with over 25 years’ experience aboard passenger ships, cruise ships and yachts. He has been working in the yachting industry since 2014 onboard RM Elegant and M/V Shaf. His experience in combination with his pleasant personality make him a valuable asset on M/Y Gioe I. Nikos is always enthusiastic and highly service orientated person. He guarantees impeccable service to all guests onboard. He speaks fluent English, and he is also able to communicate well in Russian, Italian, Spanish and French. He enjoys travelling.
Deckhand: Romylo Molina (Filipino)
Romylo was born in 1973 . He has been working on private and charter yachts since 2007 and joined Gioe I’ s crew in 2021. He has all the necessary qualifications for this position and good technical knowledge as well. Romylo is the kind of person who is always happy to offer the best service onboard to his Guests and assist his team anytime. He speaks English.

This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
