GREAT ADVENTURE Yacht Charter Catamaran
About
Great Adventure is a modern, bright and spacious Lagoon 450 catamaran available for luxury crewed charter in the Caribbean and based in the Virgin Islands. This luxury catamaran sleeps up to 6 guests in comfort and style. The stylish galley and saloon is tastefully designed and equipped. The saloon has wrap around windows, providing uninterrupted views during your yacht charter. There is also a comfortable couch in the main salon with matching stools. This Lagoon 450 is fully air conditioned and has a high output reverse osmosis water maker, powered either by shore power or by a whisper-quiet generator, located away from sleeping quarters making for a peaceful night's sleep during your luxury crewed yacht charter. On deck, the Lagoon 450 boasts extensive seating both forward of the saloon and aft, as well as a large swimming platform, ideal to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the British Virgin Islands. The raised fly bridge gives a panoramic bird's eye view at anchor and under sail. With a beam of nearly 26 feet, she is very stable, never heeling more than 5 degrees, with wide decks and recessed hatches, to make moving around the yacht a breeze and with enough space for everyone aboard to find their own favourite place to read, sunbathe or simply watch the ever changing seascapes go sailing by. The spacious cockpit comfortably sits all guests around an ample table to make dining al fresco a pleasure. There is a ventilation hatch on the bridge deck, that funnels a cooling breeze into the cockpit area. 3 Double cabins provide spacious accommodation for all. For such a spacious yacht, she is surprisingly nimble, and the gulping shaped bridge deck makes her very comfortable underway, no slapping or slamming aboard this beauty, and you can hop between islands in under an hour, or choose to spend longer under sail. The choice is entirely yours during your cruise through the USVI. Our Luxury Crewed Lagoon 450 is truly a superb yacht where the idyllic scenery, changes with every blink of the eye, as you sail through nature's little secret, the beautiful island chain of the US Virgin Islands.

PADI & SSI Open Water Scuba Instructor
Emergency First Response Instructor
Kris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up fishing off the local piers and beaches and got his first job as a teenager, working as a mate on a fishing boat.
While in college, he had a summer job at a local seafood restaurant, where he realized he had a passion for food. He decided to enroll in the French Culinary Institute. He went on to work as the head chef for restaurants around the world, from New York City, to St. John, USVI, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.
While in St. John, Kris fell in love with scuba diving. During his final open water training dive, a large dolphin swam up to him and spent almost the whole dive swimming with him. That’s what really got him hooked. Kris decided he wanted to spend as much time in the water as possible, and figured the best way to do so would be to become a Scuba Instructor. He worked for several years teaching and guiding dives on liveaboard boats in Thailand, Hawaii, and the Cayman Islands. He went on to get his Captain’s license and now while living in Brooklyn, Kris drives a private charter boat during the week, operating tours around Manhattan and to the Statue of Liberty.
Chef Aneta Siwiec
Aneta was born and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She fell in love with travel and food early on, thanks to her mom, who dragged her to visit family and friends that were scattered around the world. Her dream has been to one day open a restaurant (already having a full menu created for her concept since in college). Starting out as a home cook she has turned cooking into a career by opening her own mobile food vending and an event picnic catering business. She takes inspiration for her food from her travels and believes in using fresh local ingredients.
She has a degree in Marketing and briefly worked in an office only to realize that she wanted more. She moved to Alaska on a whim and worked for a lodge at Denali Park, organizing and arranging tours. After a couple close exchanges with moose alone on hiking trails, and the season coming to an end, she bought a one way ticket to New Zealand where she worked and travelled for a year.
Back in Brooklyn she began working as an event coordinator. She longed for outdoor adventure and soon became a kayak safety boater and tour guide for the Brooklyn Bridge Boathouse, which is a free kayak program organized by volunteers.
Aneta has circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak and ran the NYC marathon twice. She is an Advanced Open Water scuba diver and is looking forward to completing her divemaster training. Her most exciting diving experience so far was swimming with Tiger Sharks and schools of Hammerheads in Cocos Islands. She hopes to one day have a whale interaction while in her kayak.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. Please contact us for a proposal that details the yacht’s availability, individual pricing based on the number of guests in your party and particular dates, as well as the list of the inclusions and exclusions for that particular yacht.
This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
