Brief
George Sarakos - Captain
Captain George is 56 years old; he is a graduate of the Greek Merchant Marine Academy and started his professional career in 1996. Since then he has been travelling on board various types of merchant and passenger vessels until he turned into Yachting in 2001. Throughout these years he has gained experience on sailing, familiarizing with International Regulations, ISM and ISPS implementation, cooperating with other nationalities, as crew members or shore based personnel and grew up a great respect for the sea. He has offered his services onboard various motor yachts such as M/Y Wave runner, M/Y Ilina, M/Y Iris, M/Y Shine, M/Y Diamond S, M/Y Expert and M/Y Blue Sky. Safety and customer service are always on top of his priorities. He is a great commander with excellent communication skills. With a long background in Private & Charter Yachts George offers exclusive tailor made cruises onboard Obsesion since 2018. He speaks English and in his free time he enjoys scuba diving and water sports.
Nikolaos Ilias - Engineer
Nikolaos was born and raised in Greece. He holds an Engineer Certificate and has gone on voyages all around the world. Having experience on charter yachts since 2011, he sees to the smooth running of the engines with total diligence while helping at the same time on the deck. He is very hard working, meticulous and always ready to lend a hand. He has a pleasant and responsible personality, and ensures that every system works and is maintained to the highest standard for the safety of all guests. Nikolaos speaks English and loves sports and travelling.
Konstantina Komninou - Chef
Konstantina was born in 1987 and she is a Greek national. She holds a Diploma in Culinary Art from Ecole de Ferrandi where she was accepted with a grant and in 2010 she was certified as cooking art technician. She has attended courses in Modern Mediterranean Cuisine by famous Greek Chef Michael Ntounetas, Ancient Greek cuisine and many seminars in International Cuisines, and healthy eating.
Since 2008 she has worked in luxurious restaurants in Greece and onboard various charter yachts such as M/Y Iris, M/Y Zoi, M/Y Cosmos I and M/Y Alexia II. She has a passion for cooking and she produces exceptional dishes with fresh local ingredients which can satisfy the most demanding guests. Konstantina speaks English and her hobbies are tennis and puzzles.
Rose Pena - Chief Stewardess
Rose was born in 1971 and she is a Philippines national. Her experience in hospitality industry has taught her how to easily step into many roles, work hard and pay attention to detail. Rose is very organized and responsible of the interior offering flawless services. She is a great asset to the team of Obsesion with her calm nature and her excellent hospitality skills. She served onboard Obsesion in 2019 as well so she knows the yacht like the back of her hand. Her hobbies are swimming and cooking. She speaks English.
Tetiana Harshyna – Stewardess
Tetiana is a Russian national with educational background in Maritime Tourism Services with stewardess specialty . During winter she attends the faculty of Hotel and Restaurant Service of the Odessa State Academy. In her past experience she has worked in 5 Star hotels and restaurants. She is hardworking and talented and knows how to make guests feel at home and fulfill their wishes with a smile. She speaks Russian, Ukrainian and English. At her free time she enjoys photography and traveling.
Gary Piramide - Deck Hand
He was born in the Philippines and entered the world of the ocean at a very young age. He has graduated from a Marine High School in Manila and since then has worked on commercial ships as bosun while since 2010 he has been onboard Obsesion. Not only is he pleasant, hardworking and very responsible in his job he is also very careful with the safety of the yacht. He speaks English, Greek and Filipino.
Vasilis Katsouras - Deck Hand
Vasilis was born in 1980 and he is Greek. He entered the world of the sea at a very young age working onboard passenger vessels. He holds a speed boat license and a skipper’s diploma. Not only is he pleasant, hardworking and very responsible in his job he is also very careful with the safety of the yacht. He speaks English and his hobbies are fishing and sports.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
