Captain: Rob Saunders(USA)
BIO / Captain Robert Saunders started boating at the age of 5 with his family on Buzzards Bay, and Long Island Sound in the New York area. Fishing, cruising, and wakeboarding were his favorite activities through the years, which expanded his knowledge of New England and its surrounding waters. In his early teenage years his family owned a boat building, transport, and upholstery company, where he continued his education of systems onboard yachts. Through his later teenage years he began working at the Beverly Yacht Club as a tender driver, where he became enthralled by close quarters maneuvering and sail boat racing. He attended North East Maritime Institute in Fairhaven, Massachusetts , which helped him make his decision to work on private yachts as a professional crew member. Attaining his Master’s License in 2011, he has traveled and gained cruising experience from the East Coast to Maine region, New England waters, the East Coast of Florida, the US West coast waters, Central America including the Panama Canal, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. With this experience he has gained the knowledge and skills to be a confident Master.
Rob was involved with the major refit of a 94’ Ferretti Motoryacht. Overseeing all facets of each project. His extensive yacht handling experience and extensive cruising experience has now been expanded to being a Charter Captain for LADY COPE, His knowledge and superb personality is what charter clients will enjoy along with his crew that will provide any and all clients to want to return to the yacht and enjoy a future trip with Captain Rob and his professional crew.

Mate: Brandon Wilson (USA)
Brandon was born and raised in Jupiter Florida. At a young age his father was a professional race boat captain. Being surrounded by the race boat environment, he spent many years cruising the Bahamas, Florida keys, and northern Florida. As his passion for the Sea grew so did his fascination with big-game fishing, and diving. After running his own commercial dive operation for over 6 years, he decided to get into yachting. Rate Terms:
Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. Please contact us for a proposal that details the yacht’s availability and individual pricing based on the number of guests in your party, as well as the list of the inclusions and exclusions for that particular yacht.
This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance
(APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for
sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The
APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions,
fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's
behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the
account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used
will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have
exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the
outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The
APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
