She was renamed “The Kalizma” for Burton's children Kate, Liza and Maria.
The Yacht has a lot of history and was used in both World Wars. After a thorough rebuild in Dubai, which saw the addition of a new top deck and a new blue hull color, KALIZMA is now in top condition again.
The yacht's general design work came from GL Watson and Alan Olford (Rebuild). The technical naval architect drawings are the creation of GL Watson. Motor Yacht KALIZMA received her stylish interior designing from the interior design company of Anthony Hail Of San Francisco. Built by Ramage & Ferguson the yacht was fabricated in the recognized yachting country the United Kingdom. She was successfully launched in Leith in 1906 before being transferred to the owner. A moderate proportion is manifested with a widest beam (width) of 6.34 meters or 20.8 feet. With a 2.9m (9.5ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is built out of aluminum and mahogany. Over the deck of KALIZMA she is 47.24 (155 ft.) in length. In 2002 extra refitting and updating was additionally finished.
