Maritime Work Experiences
January 2017/2019 - skipper Lagoon 42 "Antares"
May - September 2016 Skipper Freedom SY, 44ft
I skippered the same boat for all season, taking care of every aspect, such as choosing the routes, managing spares and resources, navigating and managing the clients. I sailed around Elba Island, Ponza, North Sardinia and South Corsica.
August 2015 Skipper, head of flotilla Sophia SY, 44ft
I worked, doing week-long trips between Ibiza and Formentera. Being responsible for a flotilla of three boats, I improved my managing skills getting different crews to work as one and to stay united. It’s worth mentioning that we encountered harsh weather conditions for many days, with thunderstorms and gales; a perfect planning has been crucial to the satisfaction of guests, so we engaged them in many collateral activities such as daily trips on shore and evenings in famous night clubs.
June - July 2015 Skipper America SY, 50ft
I worked as a skipper on a catamaran Lagoon 500, navigating around Aeolian Islands, in Sicily. I did a lot of small mechanical and electrical repairing, such as malfunctions on solar panels, shower pumps, filters, leaking pipes, engine starter and I substituted cooking stoves. I improved my relational skills with a very demanding type of clientele, always putting my professionalism at their service, but leaving at the same time a lot of space to their privacy.
September 2014 - January 2015 Delivery Skipper Cantiere del Pardo fleet
I delivered several models of Grand Soleil and Sly ranging from 39 to 51 feet LOA for Cannes and Genoa Boat shows and other private occasions. My job was to assure the state of boats upon arrival, keep them immaculate, organize a crew of one or two sailors, consume as less resources as possible and conclude the delivery with punctuality.
June - September 2014 Charter Skipper Independent SY, 44ft - Deverina SY, 50ft
I worked as a skipper for the charter company “La Vela e Sei Libero” based in Split, Croatia. I was in charge of organization and wellbeing of up to 10 guests on board, including numerous children, plus crew, for weeklong trips. Other duties included and sailing and mooring in all kinds of conditions, teaching guests about sailing and life aboard, cleaning and maintaining parts daily, provisioning and occasionally cooking. I also collaborated in the refitting of the fleet at the start of the season, polishing, cleaning teak, painting, hosting sails and all kinds of minor tasks.
February - March 2014 Delivery Crew Natalie SY, 40ft
It was a 1000nm trip circumnavigating Italy from Genoa to Vasto, in Adriatic Sea. We were a small crew of 2 people, so watch turns were extensive and stressful; we encountered continuous bad weather and cold temperatures typical of the period. I was deeply involved in all aspects of passage planning, navigation, sailing and mooring.
December 2013 - February 2014 Deckhand / Watch Keeper Bonnie Lass SY, 46ft
We cruised Caribbean Sea for over 2’000nm visiting Panama, Colombia, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and British Virgin Islands. I participated in passage planning, stood on watch, piloted the dinghy, cooked, and performed cleaning and general maintenance of all the parts of the boat.
June 2004 - August 2010 Deckhand / Watch Keeper O’ Cafè SY, 50ft
I logged over 5’000 miles in the Mediterranean Sea, visiting: Italian coasts (Good knowledge of Ligurian, Tirrenic, Ionic and Adriatic Seas), Sardinia, Sicily, French Riviera, Spanish coasts, Balearic Islands, Croatian and Greek coasts and islands. I was involved in all aspects of running the family yacht.

- Teak floor in cockpit

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. Please contact us for a proposal that details the yacht’s availability and individual pricing based on the number of guests in your party, as well as the list of the inclusions and exclusions for that particular yacht.
This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
Our team endeavors to provide up to date and accurate information regarding each yacht in our listing, however some yachts reserve the right to make last minute changes to their availability and rates. With this in mind, please note that premium rates may be attached to certain destinations and dates, such as Christmas and New Years in the Caribbean or July and August in the Mediterranean. Kindly contact us for a proposal that details the yacht’s final rate and availability.
