Crew Profile
CAPTAIN - Durk Offringa
Durk Offringa has worked in the yachting industry as captain for 25 years. From his early beginnings of sailing on Tampa Bay when in college, to soon thereafter starting and running a diving/sailing charter operation in Jamaica, he began his keen sense of service mixed with adventure style! From then on Durk has captained 112’ to 156’ motor /expedition yachts completing four American new constructions projects along the way. The majority of this time was spent employed by only three owners and travelling the Caribbean while refining his ability to adapt to any guest and turn their dreams into reality. Be assured that his vast experience and attention to detail will make you wish your trip had been longer aboard INDIGO.
MATE - Owen (Bo) Brennen
Bo was born in New Orleans and lived there until hurricane Katrina forced his family to move to Destin Florida. Bo, with his two brothers got to live and play in and around the water all day, as they lived on their family boat. The family tender was the way to get around and soon he found his love for the water. His family moved to Gulf Port, Mississippi. During his high school years, Bo played on the football and baseball teams. Bo went on to play quarterback at Ole Miss. But injuries put stop to this love for sport. Bo is enthusiastic, hardworking and enjoys a challenge. He moved to Fort Lauderdale to start his yachting career and has found a new passion to steer his next course. Bo looks forward to serving you on board INDIGO.
STEWARDESS- Arianna Clark
Arianna is originally from a charming beach town in beautiful West Michigan where dunes sprawl and line the lakeshore of pure Lake Michigan. Since childhood she spent her summers boating and swimming, thus sprouting her love for the outdoors and water sports.
She is also an avid skier and has conquered mountains across the U.S. With an eager streak for adventure and an overwhelming sense of wanderlust, Arianna set sail for the seas, leaving her sommelier career behind, and followed her course in yachting. As a live music enthusiast, you will most likely find Ari exploring new locations, cultures and restaurants. Her outgoing personality, creativity, and wine expertise makes Arianna a valuable addition to our crew. Rest assure that guests will have an unforgettable stay with this bubbly 30 yr old tending to their yachting needs. You can count on Arianna for a warm welcome, a big smile, and a lending ear.
CHEF - David Schuhlein

David’s focus in menu design is to provide clean, healthy, well balanced meals that will invigorate and energize. He views food as fuel for the body and mind. Only with the best clean fuel can we accomplish the clarity and energy that we all desire. His experience with dietary sensitivities is vast and David will excel when faced with what some chefs may see as obstacles. He finds great reward in exceeding expectations of guests with specific requests.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
