PREVIOUS YACHTS: M/Y SEAWOLF, M/Y JANIE, M/Y OCTOBER ROSE
DAN HAS CRUISED: The Mediterranean, The Caribbean, The Americas, Pacific and Atlantic Ocean crossings, South Polynesia and New Zealand. Australia extensively.
Hailing from Port Douglas, Far North Queensland, Dan has spent the vast majority of his working life on the water.
His foundation as a deckhand running guests to the outer reef pontoons on the Great Barrier Reef, was the catalyst for a deep passion of the ocean and working in the marine environment. From there, Dan successfully pursued a career working on Luxury Yachts all over the world. Over this 8 year period he worked on several vessels, spanning opulent charter vessels in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, to a luxury 60m Expedition Vessel in the position as First Mate on which he covered over 50,000 nautical miles, ranging from the Mediterranean, The Caribbean, The Americas, Pacific and Atlantic Ocean crossings, South Polynesia and New Zealand.
Family life saw Dan return to Australia where he steered his career towards a new direction, taking on Marine Construction where he achieved a Master position running his own vessel.
Dan regards his position as Captain on DE LISLE III since 2016, as the pinnacle of his career and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, an unwavering focus on safety, professionalism and enthusiasm to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience.

PREVIOUS YACHTS: M/Y DE LISLE III, M/Y CORROBOREE
OTHER: Skipper on different vessels around the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef; First Mate on ferry/fishing vessels/protector ribs (watertaxis).
RYAN HAS CRUISED: All coastal and offshore waters surrounding Tasmania, and Bass Strait, The Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. Fiji and Vanuatu.
Ryan grew up in Tasmania, in the South East of Australia: an island-region indeed where marine life thrives. It was no surprise that his career was launched around the fishing industry, after receiving his Master 5 ticket and Engine Driver Grade 3.
Ryan’s favourite experience when exploring the oceans, is counted as follows: “One of my most stand out experiences would be the interaction with two Orcas in the southern ocean. A mother and newly born calf were right beside our fishing boat and stuck around for almost half an hour whilst the newborn was learning how to swim.”Although the majority of his hobbies surround the water (scuba diving, free diving, wakeboarding, fishing) when on dry land he loves riding motorbikes and mountain bikes, camping, hunting, golf and basketball.

Nigel was awarded gold and silver plate awards whilst within the Marriott hotel chain. He opened two of the best Restaurants in Queensland, East Coast Australia, sharpening his skills from training since a young adult, and then found himself working alongside a Personal Chef of the Sultan of Brunei where he became a Chef de Cuisine.
Nigel accommodates a diverse array of tastes. Nigel has more than 25 years experience plating up delicious delights, 6 of which have been enjoyed at sea. Naturally, his love for fine food and the sea, make his seafood selection most requested. REBECCA HAS CRUISED: South, East and North Coast Australia, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, Singapore, the Mediterranean
Rebecca’s passion for her job shines through every aspect of her personality: working on a Superyacht
within a tight knit crew, that all strive to achieve the same goal of an immaculately maintained vessel and most importantly, content and happy guests. The highlights of DE LISLE III in her opinion include Alfresco breakfast on the aft deck, flame grilled bbqs on the sky lounge deck, formal fine dining in
the saloon, bbqs on secluded beaches, sunset canapés on the fore deck.
So far, Rebecca’s favourite location was visitingTonga to swim with the whales, night cave diving, jungle hikes and discovering hidden royal tombs on cliffs overlooking the sea. She has also really enjoyed exploring Papua New Guinea, which she considers to be the ultimate off the beaten track Superyacht experience. The villages, the beautiful locals, fishing, surfing, kite surfing and the most spectacular diving in the world. When not on board, Rebecca loves fishing, exploring on the jetskis, dirt bikes, reading, cooking, or you can also talk to her about skin care chemistry.
Name: Jessica Thackray
Position: 2nd Stewardess
Nationality: Australian
Description:
PREVIOUS YACHTS: M/Y CORROBOREE, M/Y SPIRIT
OTHER: Catamaran Charters On The Great Barrier Reef
JESS HAS CRUISED: The Great Barrier Reef, Whitsindays, Papua New Guinea
Growing in Cairns, North East Australia, Jess could not imagine her life away from the water. After working on catamarans travelling to the Great Barrier Reef, Jess made the unregretted transition to the superyacht industry in 2018. Her knowledge of the Earth’s largest living organism is unparralel, and Jess ensures to keep up to date with its development: a PADI Dive Master, she is also qualified by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) for Eye On the Reef (a reef monitoring and assessment program) and undertook the Crown of Thorns Program (AMPTO) in an effort to understand the underwater world best.
Jess loves interacting with children (she obtained her Blue Card), and it goes without saying that the smily faces of Papuan New Guinea account for her favourite guest experience so far!
When off-duty, Jess would scuba dive / snorkel or freedive whenever the opportunity arises, and also enjoys keeping active: Pilates, Yoga, hiking or running.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. Please contact us for a proposal that details the yacht’s availability and individual pricing based on the number of guests in your party, as well as the list of the inclusions and exclusions for that particular yacht.
This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
