CAPTAIN – Panagiotis Ntakos
Panagiotis grew up in Elefsis. An avid skier since his youth, Panagiotis all-around love of the outdoors ultimately led him to the Greek Merchant Marine Academy in 2002. Panagiotis spent his undergraduate years at the Merchant Marine Academy not only gaining his knowledge of marine engineering and navigation, but also participating as a Varsity member and Fleet Captain of the Offshore Sailing Team. He enjoys racing sailboats in his leisure time; and yet, since his departure from the Academy, he has applied his skills & knowledge to a variety of professional marine positions on motor yachts. He joined the successful M/Y Barents Sea, Mondomarine 40m in 2014 and served as Captain until 2021 when he moved to the same owner’s new yacht, Barents. His wide knowledge, pleasant personality and professionalism ensure that your vacation will be everything you expect.
CHIEF OFFICER – Elias Kalpouzos
Elias has many years’ experience in the marine industry. He started his career on cruise ships carrying thousands of passengers daily. In 2014 he entered yachting and since then he has served on M/Y Sapphire, M/Y Obsesion , M/Y Al Mirqab and M/Y Barents Sea. He holds numerous certificates and diplomas such as 2nd Officer certificate, Advanced LSA, Ship Security Officer Certificate, Ro-Ro V2, ECDIS, Rya Power Boat Level 2 and a speed boat license. His love for yachting provides Elias with the passion to research and organize all kinds of activities for the enhancement of the onboard experience. He is an experienced toy operator, a multi-tasking person with great team spirit and enthusiasm. He has moved onboard Barents in 2021 from M/Y Barents Sea. He is married and speaks fluent English.
CHIEF ENGINEER – Victoras Houmis
Victoras is 43 years old, Greek national. He holds an A’ Class Engineer’s Certificate and a speed boat license. Also, he has attended many seminars re engines and generators. He has worked on vessels and since 2005 has been on board various charter yachts including Ramina and A&I. He joined Barents Sea in 2014 and then moved to Barents in 2021. Victoras ensures that every system works perfectly and is maintained to the highest standards for the safety of all guests. He speaks English and enjoys all water sports.
ENGINEER – Nikolaos Boulas
Nikolaos was born in 1989 and he is a Greek national. He holds an Engineer Certificate and in the beginning of his career served on tankers and cargo ships going on voyages all around the world. He is very hard working and always ready to lend a hand. He has a pleasant and responsible personality, and keeps the engine room in perfect condition. Nikolaos speaks English and in his free time he enjoys diving and snowboarding.
CHEF – Panagiotis Palatos
Panagiotis is a graduate of both Greek and German Culinary Institutes. He has worked as a Chef and Executive Chef in several five star hotels and luxurious restaurants in both countries before joining the yachting industry. He was also Professor of cooking faculty Palmier, Member of Greek Cook Olympic Team, Member of Eurotogue Greece, he was presenting a cooking section in a TV Show for 3 years and he holds a Second Pan at the Hellenic competition of cooking. Panagiotis specializes in Mediterranean & International cuisine. He also masters specific requests, such as Kosher meals. Panagiotis is very passionate about his cuisine, eager to tailor make his guests’ menus and keen to present them with gastronomic extravagances or simple, heavenly tastes. He speaks English and German. He is 43 years old and married with two children. He joined Barents Sea crew in 2014 and Barents in 2021.
CHIEF STEWARDESS – Jenny Papadopoulou
Jenny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Tourism and English commercial Correspondence. She has worked onboard cruise ships before joining the yachting industry. She has come from the famous Charter Yacht Barents Sea and before that she served onboard Alexandra 50m. Her hospitality and communication skills are second to none making all guests onboard feel like home. She has an eye for the detail and she maintains the highest levels of service at all times. Jenny speaks English, French, Italian and basic German and Arabic. She loves travelling and reading.
2nd STEWARDESS – Eleni Vogli
Eleni was born in 1982 and she is a Greek national. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting however her active personality and free spirit led he to build a career in the yachting industry. She serves onboard charter yachts since 2008 such as M/Y Dragon, M/Y Ouranos, M/Y Capri I, M/Y Can’t Remember, M/Y Isea and in 2020 joined Barents. Her experience makes her a valuable and respected crew member. She is a dynamic, well-presented person with a creative and professional approach to her work. She speaks English and enjoys photography, diving, snowboarding and pyrography.
3rd STEWARDESS – Aggeliki Petraki
Aggeliki is Greek, born in 1986. She holds a degree in Agriculture, Food and Environment and she has been working in hospitality since 2007. She offers excellent service to all guests onboard Barents, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable time. She has great communication skills and positive attitude, bringing always a friendly smile. Aggeliki speaks English.
BOSUN – Nikos Sfikas
Greek, born in 1967. Nikos holds a Seaman’s certificate and speed boat license. He has worked on various motor yachts and he has been onboard Barents Sea since the delivery of the yacht in 2008, and moved to Barents in 2021. Nikos has proved to be a hard working individual with great knowledge of the Yacht. He enjoys fishing. He is married and has one child.
DECK HAND – Mandy Nobleza
Mandy has been working in the yachting industry for the past 18 years in various deckhand positions. He is hardworking and very careful with the safety of the yacht. Mandy is a hardworking person, has a positive attitude and is always happy to help out all departments with various tasks. He speaks English, Greek and Filipino.
DECK HAND – John Lysikatos
John was born in 1994 and he is Greek. He holds a tender operator license and a sailors license from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos. Before joining Barents’ team he had served onboard M/Y Toy A. He is polite with strong communication skills and a great team player. John speaks Greek and English and he enjoys swimming.

This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
