This new 2020 46' Lagoon offers three large double berths each with private ensuite baths including electric heads, vanity and separate showers. The cabins and yacht both offer wonderful natural lighting and great ventilation plus fully air-conditioned depending on the guests' desires. The salon will seat up to 6 guests in comfort for lounging or dining plus with numerous lounging areas, there is plenty of space for gathering as a group or finding a private place for one or two to relax. C'est La Vie's aft exterior offers alfresco dining for up to 6 guests along with top deck seating and lounge area in front of helm, plus a forward lower deck lounge area behind the trampolines. Brief
Capt. Matt Dana
Matt is a USCG licensed Captain with nearly two decades of professional experience on sailing and motor yachts up to 114ft. on the Atlantic & Pacific, throughout the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean Sea. He has sailed over 65,000 nautical miles, crossed the Atlantic twice, raced in over 25 major regattas and lived aboard his yachts in the US Virgin Islands since 2003. Originally from Massachusetts, Matt’s family traces their lineage back to the Mayflower and has strong generational maritime ties in New England. He grew up spending summers on Cape Cod, where he learned to sail from a young age aboard his family’s boats.
In his early years in the Virgin Islands, Matt broadened his nautical knowledge base by working in a shipyard, and subsequently a sail-loft. He has lived in and around National Parks most of his life, has a background in wilderness search & rescue and emergency medicine, worked as a ski instructor at Vail Resorts, and more recently as a free-diving guide and naturalist in the US Virgin Islands National Park. He attended university with a focus in Japanese ceramics and bronze casting and holds a black belt in traditional Tae Kwon-Do.
Chef Tmana
Tmana is a talented professional chef who originally hails from the coast of Maine where her family has a thriving New England seafood catering business. She draws diverse culinary inspiration from her travels abroad in Europe, the Bahamas and Caribbean, not to mention her New England roots. Tmana truly enjoys providing exceptional and inventive cuisine to all whom find a seat at her table and has a penchant for creating pastries, desserts and baked goods.
An accomplished sailor in her own right, Tmana has sailed over 5,000 nautical miles including several offshore multi-day passages in water over 25,000ft. deep. Matt & Tmana were married in the Virgin Islands on their adopted island home of St. John in 2015. They honeymooned by sailing from Florida to the Virgin Islands on a 6 month cruise through the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Spanish Virgin Islands.
Together, Matt & Tmana have sailed thousands of miles and genuinely love creating new and memorable experiences for their guests through their shared passions for nature, yachting, travel, and cuisine.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
