Captain: Vassilis Tsokos

Captain Vasilis holds a Captain class A´, Master Mariner commercial license. He has a 14-year professional experience starting with service on commercial vessels and passenger ships in the worldwide range, followed by 11 yachts in the Mediterranean. He has all the advanced lifesaving, firefighting, and medical care certificates. He is a certified open water diver with considerable experience in almost every kind of watersports and especially wakeboard, monoski, and jet ski. His hobbies in addition to watersports are mountain sports, motorsports, and travelling. He speaks fluent English and is an enthusiast of yachting and sea.
Chief Engineer: Theocharis Christos Kyriakoglou

Date of birth: 1983

Theocharis was born in Germany and holds a Captain Class A Diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos. His career started at an early age as Apprentice in 2010 on large Cargo Ships and has acquired almost 12 years of experience at sea! Theocharis has valuable knowledge and endless dedication. It is his second year onboard TROPICANA, and is responsible for the safety on board whilst ensuring that all engineering projects are completed to the highest standards. He is always very eager to work and provide all his knowledge zealously. Even though his primary focus is engineering, Theocharis is always available and will assist with all deck activities, continuously striving for precision.
Chef: Evangelos Vasileiou

Date of birth: 1983

Evangelos started his career in 2008 in luxury restaurants and 5-star hotels building strong experience and professionalism. He then joined the yachting industry in 2016 as Chef pampering his guests onboard with superb cuisine, specializing in Mediterranean and French gourmet. He is also experienced in molecular gastronomy! Evangelos is an extraordinary asset to the team and holds a HACCP certificate as well as a rescue and firefighting certificate from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropirgos. He is looking forward to welcoming all his guests onboard!
Chief Stewardess: Vasiliki Sarantaki

Date of birth: 1988
Languages: Greek, English (fluent) & Russian (intermediate)
Vasiliki joined the yachting industry in 2015, working aboard 30+m yachts. She holds a Captain Class C certificate, security awareness (officer level) as well as tanker safety (basic level) certificates. Additionally, she also has basic training from the National School of Life-saving and firefighting appliances. A dynamic individual with excellent organizational skills, team attitude, and proactive thinking, Vasiliki is a valued asset to the crew! Her proficiency in GMDSS, as well as rescue boats, ensures the safety of all guests onboard.
Stewardess: Maria Paraskevi Karavota
Nationality: Hellenic
Date of birth: 1990
Languages: Greek & English
Maria is a new member of the team, with excellent customer service skills and a responsible personality. Her communicative character and friendly nature make her a great asset to the team. She looks forward to building experience in the yachting industry and is always prepared to do her utmost for her guests! In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, dancing, and singing.
Deckhand: Marios Kaplan

Date of birth: 1994
Languages: Greek & English
Marios is a new member of the team, he joined the yachting industry in 2019, his previous yachts include M/Y Funky Choice, M/Y Vitamin Sea, and M/Y Hasabi II. Prior to this Marios was a deckhand on passenger & cargo vessels. His organized, responsible, and communicative nature makes him an invaluable asset to the team! In his free time, he enjoys cycling, wakeboarding, reading, football, and sailing.

This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
