Giovanni

Gio is a knowledgeable, friendly Captain who finds his fulfilment by connecting people to the sea and enjoying their experiences vicariously through them. Born and raised in London, UK, his career began as a dinghy sailing and windsurfing instructor in the UK, Greece, Bahrain. Next, he moved to Australia to gain a degree in marine biology, conduct underwater acoustic research and guide marine wildlife tours. He then took a job in the offshore oil and gas industry as a marine wildlife observer & spent two years on seismic survey ships all around the world. Eventually he bought his own 50ft sailboat in Florida and used it to lead documentary filmmaking expeditions thousands of miles around the Caribbean, resulting in work published by National Geographic. He is also a surfer, an expert freediver, and a PADI Divemaster. Gio takes great pride in ensuring his guests feel comfortable and safe while guiding them on the adventure of a lifetime.

Gio is joined by...

Ryan
A traditionally trained chef with 16 years culinary experience, Ryan has followed his larger than life passion for cooking exquisite food for over half his life. He has frequently been headhunted to create diverse menus in the fine-dining restaurant industry before winning an international cooking competition three years ago that put him onto the worlds largest superyachts. We stole him away for a new chapter in his career to chef on smaller boats like Lolalita where he enjoys a more personal and interactive experience with the guests, teasing them with flavours throughout each day. He has an excellent knowledge of many styles of cuisine from asian to mediterranean and good old BBQ and takes pride in sourcing the finest ingredients around.

Raven
A south Florida girl passionate about the sunshine, Raven spent most of her previous life working for an iconic hotel and tiki bar on Hollywood beach, mixing drinks and looking after hotel guests. As a long term member of the team she understood the importance of maintaining a reputation for outstanding service and hospitality, bringing in a crowd of regulars who could always feel at home under her care. She recently moved into the yachting industry to explore beyond the horizon while using her eye for detail to maintain a first class hotel environment onboard and making sure her guests always feel pampered and well looked after. She’s also out on deck, pulling lines and driving the tender, making sure the adventure is always flowing.

How would you qualify skipper:
Ernie was an amazing Captain! He took great care of us and his crew. He was so much fun to be around but also made everyone feel very safe.

5

How would you qualify rest of the crew:
The Lolalita crew was incredible! I felt like they were part of the family by the time we got off the boat. I would spend another week with them in a heart beat.

5

How would you qualify the yacht (comfort, features, general maintenance, etc):
Very comfortable! Rooms and common areas were spacious. The air conditioner made for a nice break from the sun if you needed it. Everything worked perfect while we were on board.

5

How would you qualify the itinerary:
Perfect mixture to make everyone in the family happy! We hit amazing scuba, snorkeling, sight seeing, beach bars and quiet deserted islands.

5

How would you qualify the sports and leisure activities/equipment on board:
Get having certified diving instructors on board. I am a nervous diver and they were very patient with me and made any accommodation possible.

5

How would you qualify the food and drinks:
Megan's cooking was outstanding! After day 1 we were so excited about each meal because they had all been so good. My little brother tends to be a picky eater and she got him to eat tons of things he normally wouldn't have. It was gourmet food but also healthy.

5

How would you qualify the entire experience of your trip:
Best trip we have EVER taken! I hope we do this same trip every year.

How would you qualify skipper:
Ernie, My grand parents had a 65 foot boat for years so I have some experience. I would leave my children and grandchildren with Ernie in a storm and know in my heart I did the absolute best for them I could do!!! that is the competence part. I would send my family on a vacation that was going to have bad weather with Ernie and they would be safe and have more fun than with many skippers I have sailed with in good weather. Just a fact. Ernie masterfully orchestrates his crew effortlessly. He is a true leader which makes for a very comfortable environment for his passengers. I would tend to plan my vacation around Ernie and his crew not the boat.

5

How would you qualify rest of the crew:
Megan is wonderful, a great chef and a quality person. My 23 year old son has christened her the best chef in the world. Over the top service 5 star Jeff again over the top service attention to detail. Diving was a joy with him safe and fun. What a wonderful young man. It is a pleasure to see a 22 year old with that amount of knowledge work ethic and great attitude. This is a very mature grounded crew. They have servants hearts. They truly care about people and have wonderful hearts. This leads to 5 star service out of caring for people not performing a job.

5

How would you qualify the yacht (comfort, features, general maintenance, etc):
Again over the top. I'm a engineer and deal with a lot of equipment. I have also owned boats. I'm always interested in how everything works. Everything on the boat worked perfectly. The boat maintenance is perfect. I was invited into the engine rooms and was impressed. The crew loves Lolalita and it shows inside and out. Again I must say Ernie knows how to fix and trouble shoot electrical and mechanical components. I do this in my business and we had fun talking about repairs and such. Competence in crew 5 star

5

How would you qualify the itinerary:
We had rain and high winds. I have a Airline Transport pilots license my son is a commercial pilot. We know about these things. Ernie after a very informative safety briefing talked about some options due to the weather. We all agreed leave it in Erie hands he has the local experience surprise us. Again 5 star he listened to each person in our group and delivered for everyone. Again this is a mature crew they don't have to operate cookie cutter because of competence. This opens the door for options with weather and locations because they have the confidence to deliver.

5

How would you qualify the sports and leisure activities/equipment on board:
Great, all good

5

How would you qualify the food and drinks:
Perfect

5

How would you qualify the entire experience of your trip:
Best trip ever, my daughters' phrase but we all agree
