Our Yacht Charter Specialists
German has enjoyed the water from a very young age, in and out of boats from the day he was born thanks to a family tradition of avid sailers - mono-skiing, wake-boarding, kite-surfing and sailing regattas were his childhood pastimes. Academically, he has a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Masters in Finance.
After working in many diverse industries, from marketing to manufacturing and construction, German’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Ritzy Charters in 2012. It all started as a part time activity to get bookings for his family catamaran in the Virgin Islands. With his passion for yachts and focus on the client experience, he has grown the company steadily year after year.
He has built a team of talented people and strives to help them grow as individuals. German, together with his team, travel frequently to the different charter destinations and boat shows to inspect first-hand the yachts and meet the crews in person. Throughout the years, he has developed a deep knowledge of yachts and an understanding of luxury service aboard them.
When not working, he can be found kite-surfing in Key Biscayne Bay or skiing in Colorado.
Having a Master degree in Anthropology, and a fascination for people Lucinda takes great pride in matching her clients to their perfect crews. She loves to discuss ideas over Skype or on the phone to really understand the tiny details required to connect her clients with their dream charter vacation.
An extremely seasoned traveller she has lived and worked across the globe, perhaps most excitingly she spent a month traversing the icy waters of Antarctica and has also had the opportunity to explore the Galapagos Islands on an expedition vessel.
Lucinda has an extensive background in international travel sales and management having worked for some of the biggest luxury tour operators in the UK, and was the previous Product Manager for Abercrombie and Kent's Latin American department where she honed her client management skills, as well as discovering her adopted home of Argentina!
When not sourcing for her clients their dream yachts, she swaps the ocean for the vast Argentine pampas and is busy riding with the gauchos and collecting images for her #losgauchosproject book. Lucinda is also a published travel writer and photographer which has included work as Argentine destination expert for the Telegraph UK.
Dayle's love for yacht chartering began in 1985 when she embarked on her first Virgin Islands sailing trip aboard a 52’ Irwin sailboat. This introduction blossomed into a lifelong passion for yachting vacations in fabulous destinations.
Originally from the Midwest, Dayle moved to Southern California where she learned to sail and enjoyed many fun sailing trips to Catalina Island. Eventually she was inspired to leave her marketing position with Pizza Hut, Inc. and launch a yacht charter business. She excelled at matching clients with the perfect yacht and helping design dream vacations. She also organized group sailing flotillas in the Caribbean and Greek islands. Then a one-of-a-kind opportunity presented itself. Dayle set sail aboard a 34’ sailboat, one of three crew bound for a Pacific sailing adventure. 21 days and 2500 miles later they made landfall in the Marquesas Islands, and continued through the Tuomotu Atolls and French Polynesia on this “magical trip”.
Dayle returned to San Diego where she enjoyed living in the heart of San Diego’s vibrant sailing community. Her active involvement with Point Loma Yacht Club culminated when she served as 2014 Commodore. That same year she returned to the yacht charter business to follow her passion which she now brings to Ritzy Charters.
Liza Kharoubi Echenique
Liza is a business school academic, luxury strategy consultant, and yacht charter broker at Ritzy Charters. After earning a PhD from the Sorbonne University in Paris in Literature and Philosophy in 2007, teaching and conferencing internationally in prestigious universities, she decided on a major career transformation and embarked on an MBA at HEC Paris, a top-tier European business school. She enjoyed (and still does) living - in New Zealand, England, France and Argentina - always somehow out of her linguistic comfort zone.
She recently dropped anchor in the global yachting industry. The luxury leisure market, by valuing people’s dreams, aspirations, and providing intense enjoyable moments is an innovative market that can always be reinvent and improved upon. The yacht chartering industry in particular, is a meeting place of international encounters, of diversity and intangible value, which is becoming key in 21st century societies. That aspect only, makes her feel like a fish in the water, dealing with international clients in many languages, doing business globally and most of all enjoying to see guests plan, look forward to, experience - and remember - unforgettable moments.
