Brief
Captain Yusuf Gündüz: Yusuf has all together 30 years of sea life, of which 16 years as yacht captain and has accumulated all the national and international qualifications including his yacht master license. He is with the Amazon Solo over 15 years. He has extensively cruised the Mediterranean on Sailing yachts and motor yachts. With his knowledge and experience, Yusuf aims to provide an enjoyable and friendly time onboard Amazon Solo. Yusuf speaks English and Turkish, all the guests like him a lot and highly appreciate his full commitment in providing them the best times onboard. He is also a good fisherman and most likely, like all the previous guests of the Amazon Solo, he will serve you his own fresh catch during the cruise, if you are lucky langustines along with plenty tasty food onboard.
Chef Hüseyin Yılmaz: Hüseyin has been cheffing in restaurants and yachts since 2000, he started his career as assistant cook at restaurants then worked at 4 & 5 tars hotels in Mugla region, then in 2017 he joined gullet and started working on boats as chef. Hüseyin has excellent knowledge of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, he is with the Amazon Solo for the 3rd season and has a very rich menu from the Turkish kitchen, some of the meals he prepares can not be easily found or prepared by many restaurants, he is keen to produces his own bread and ‘pastries’ in the mornings and for afternoon tea times, as well as creative and tasty dishes and can customize a menu for any occasion or dietary preference.
Senior sailor ( Service & excellent bartender ) Özcan Gündüz: Özcan has been working on boats for fifteen years and he is with our company over 18 years and on the Amazon Solo for 14 years. He has completed all the STWC safety courses and has able seamanship certificate. Ozcan is renowned for his cocktails and he can prepare delicious mixes for sundowners. Özcan speaks medium Level English and Turkish.
Deck hand & Steward Irem Koca: İrem joined Amazon Solo winter 2019, he was working on a gullets before which operated in Turkey & Greece. He graduated from vocational school of Maritime and Port Girne University in Cyprus. İrem speaks medium Level English and Turkish.
Housekeeper and assistant stewardess Sevda Aydın : Sevda joined Amazon Solo 2023 winter, last year she was working on various boats as free lance stewardess. She is graduate ofvocational school of health at Celal Bayar University. She likes being part of the team work and she is smiling person all the times. Sevda speaks medium Level English and Turkish.

This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
