Athanasios Vourvopoulos - Greek
Captain
Captain Thanasis was born on July 13, 1978. He is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Captains First Class Diploma. He also holds Certificates in SSO (Ship security officer ) , GMDSS , Arpa, Radar, Ecdis, Brm, Fire fighting and First aids/Medical care on board. Captain Thanasis has 18 years of experience and the last 10 years as a captain in high specification motor commercial yachts. With excellent knowledge of the Aegean, Ionian and Mediterranean waters, he can be relied on to recommend the right place for the right occasion, from cosmopolitan full-service beach clubs in popular islands to deserted sandy beaches off the beaten track. His hobbies include sailing, basketball, fishing and martial arts. Captain Thanasis speaks English, he is married and has two children.

Chief Engineer Stavros Stamelos
Nationality: Greek
Stavros is a graduate of the Merchant Academy and holds the highest level Class A Engineer’s Diploma. After serving in the Greek navy, he has accumulated more than 12 years of experience on board luxury motor yachts and is always keen to serve the needs of the guests. He holds Certificates in SSO, Life saving and firefighting, including V1-2 and V3. Stavros is responsible for service and maintenance oversight of main engines, generators and all mechanical – electrical systems. Stavros enjoys swimming, the theater and the cinema.
2nd Engineer Lampros Georgousis
Nationality: Greek
Lampros holds a Class B license and has been onboard commercial and cruise ships for 14 years having gained extensive knowledge and experience at sea. Lambros decided to pursue his career in the yachting industry and has joined the Alexandra this year bringing with him his love for the sea and his professionalism. He has updated certificates in Ro/Ro & Passenger Ship Safety, Life Saving and Fire Fighting. Lampros enjoys having guests on board and working with the array of sports equipment. He speaks English and Greek.

Chief Stewardess Pepi Pontikakou
Nationality: Greek
Pepi was born in 1976, and speaks fluent English & Greek. She holds a diploma in management of yacht services and leadership and has attended many seminars, holding diplomas in Spirits & Mixology from the Crew Academy in France and a diploma in Wines & Wine Service (WSET). She is considered a “hospitality professional,” with her extensive experience in the industry with VIP Clientele, having been working onboard luxury yachts for the past 15 years. Since then she has been thrilled working as a stewardess and chief stewardess in Greece and France as well, delivering high standard service to guests while ensuring the everyday smooth operation of the boat's interior. Pepi has a friendly personality and is always determined to provide high quality service. In her free time she loves reading and travelling.

Marie joined the yachting industry in 2015 and has gained extensive experience working on a variety of charter yachts. Marie decided to have a small break from yachting to pursue work ashore however it wasn’t long before life at sea lured her back. She is happy to take on more responsibilities and can offer a helpful hand in the galley when required. The Captain & Crew are very pleased to welcome her back onboard as their newest member of the team!

Giannis has been working on board private and charter yachts since 1990 . He has been assisting with ship-board operations involving maintenance, tender & toys management, line handling, anchoring, moorings and general deck care for the last 30 years. He has a very pleasant personality, is married with 2 children.
Antonis Kormos - Greek
Deckhand
Antonis has been working at sea since 2007. In 2011 he worked on board his first superyacht and has never looked back since! Antonis has experience on both charter and private yachts, cruising all over the Mediterranean. He loves that his job enables him to pursue two of his hobbies, travelling and watersports! When Lampros is not enjoying life at sea, he is at home in Greece with his lovely wife and newly born baby girl.
Deckhand Xousakos Manolis
Nationality: Greek
Manolis has been working on the water since 1997. He holds a skipper Class C license and a speedboat license. Manolis has over 16 years of experience on board various yachts and joined ALEXANDRA in 2002. Manolis has a wealth of experience and is a very valuable part of the team. He speaks English, Greek and Spanish.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
