Brief
Panos Dimitriou – Captain
Greek * Aged: 42 * Speaks English
Captain Panos was born and lives in Athens. He has 18 years of experience in the marine industry and more specifically in motor yachts. He joined the yachting industry in 2005 and he has extensively cruised the Eastern and Western Mediterranean.
Panos graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos (Diploma Class A’) with all the required marine licenses and certifications under his belt. He has certainly made the most of his career at sea. Some of his Diplomas are: ECDIS CERTIFICATE, RO-RO PASSENGERS CERTIFICATE, ADVANCED MEDICAL CARE CERTIFICATE, INTERNATIONAL SHIP & PORT FACILITY SECURITY CODE, SHIP SECURITY OFFICER CERTIFICATE, ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING AND LIFE SAVING CERTIFICATE, ARPA AND ELECTRONIC NAVIGATION CERTIFICATE. He brings a disciplined approach to each task. He is a very driven and energetic person, who loves his job. Panos will always make sure that the guests have an unforgettable experience whilst onboard and that everything flows as seamlessly as possible. Captain Panos has built up an experienced and efficient team that is now working alongside him and will take every effort in ensuring your charter runs smoothly and safely making a memorable vacation for all onboard Motor Yacht Rare Diamond.
Karolos Kitamrtzian – Chief Engineer
Greek * Aged: 42 * Speaks English
Karolos was born and lives in Athens. He graduated as an engineer from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos in 2007 and from 2019 he is a Chief Engineer A’ class. He also holds all the required Marine Licenses and certifications such as Life Saving and Fire Fighting Appliances (Α-VI/1-1 to Α-VI/4-1), Ro-Ro Passengers Ships, Crowd and Crisis management, Ship Security Officer. Karolos has 20 years of experience in the Marine Industry and more specifically in Motor Yachts. He first joined the yachting industry in 2002. Karolos is an adaptable and resourceful problem solver with extensive knowledge of marine equipment, machinery maintenance and engine installation. These skills combined with an excellent work ethic make him a valued member of the team.
Petros Syrigos – Chef
Greek * Aged: 35 * Speaks English, Italian
Petros was born in Athens in 1988. He has 17 years of experience as a chef and is a member of the “Work Chef Association”, as well as ‘Ambassador of taste for the global gastronomy.’ He is passionate about his work and in his long career has cooked for very important guests in villas and yachts. He also has 10 years of experience in TV shows as a TV presenter chef. Now, he runs his own restaurant in Athens. Petros cooks Mediterranean, Japanese, French, Italian, Peruvian and Mexican recipes. He is not only passionate about food but also loves boats, and sea sports. He is a calm yet enthusiastic chef always ready to do his best to please his clients.
Pandora Vouga – Chief Stewardess
Greek * Aged: 52 * Speaks English
Pandora was born in Athens in 1970. She has 20 years of experience in the yachting industry. She ensures high levels of guests’ satisfaction.
Pandora always brings a positive, uplifting attitude while going above and beyond supporting her team in order to offer excellent client service. Her friendly and pleasing personality, alongside her passion for impeccable client service is what sets her apart as a Chief Stewardess.
She holds the Bosun License and certificates such as Safety and Fire Certificate, Life Guarding, Speed boat license and Seaman’s Book Seafarers Health Service. With Pandora’s friendly personality and great organizational skills Rare Diamond’s guests are sure to be happy and smiling throughout their charter.
Eleni Chantzi – Stewardess
Greek * Aged: 45 * Speaks English
Eleni was born in Athens in 1978. She has 3 years of experience in the yachting industry. Eleni is passionate about consistently delivering an exceptional level of guest service and is excited at the challenge of working onboard Rare Diamond. She is hardworking and has a positive outlook and always approaches guests with a welcoming smile. She holds a Silver Service Diploma, and she is now taking courses in wine bartending and mixologist courses. Eleni would like to continue to learn and advance to become a Chief Stewardess in the future.
Jerry Calopez – Deckhand
Filipino * Aged: 42 * Speaks English, Filipino
Jerry was born in 1980 in the Philippines and lives in Athens. Before joining the yachting industry 10 years ago, he worked in tanker ships for at least 5 years. Jerry holds certificates in Safety Familiarization, Security Awareness and Designated Security Duties, and a speed boat license.
He has different duties onboard, including navigation watch, mooring, and anchoring procedures, jet-ski launch and recovery, tender driving and many others. Jerry is a hard worker, very willing, with a team spirit.

This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
