Captain
Giorgos, born in 1981, has been involved in seafaring for 2 decades. He started his career in commercial shipping and subsequently moved to the yachting industry where he has been a captain of commercial charter yachts since 2009. He is a graduate from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and a certified RYA Ocean Yachtmaster. Other qualifications include his training in electrical systems as well as a 1st stage certificate for diving. His deep knowledge of Greek shores will be appreciated by the guests while his composed attitude and flexibility will add to the onboard hospitality. Giorgos speaks English well, he is married with 3 children and his hobbies include practicing martial arts and snowboarding.
Alexandros Stavropoulos
Chef
Alexandros was born in 1982 in Athens and he is a Greek national. He has graduated from the culinary academy “Le Monde” and has begun his career in 2005. Since then he has offered his services in five-star hotels and fine dining restaurants in Greece and Austria. He has been in the yachting industry for over 10 years. Alexandros specializes in both Mediterranean & International cuisines. He has attended various seminars in order to keep his professional skills up to date with the latest culinary knowledge and technics. He is very passionate about his cuisine, eager to tailor make his guests’ menus and keen to present them with gastronomic extravagances or simple, heavenly tastes. He has skills in multitasking, teamwork, organization and menu building etc. Alexandros is communicative with a great sense of humor and a friendly personality. Teody Caser
Deckhand
Teody holds a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering as well as all the necessary training certificates for seafarers. He started his career on board motor-yachts in 2004 and joined MAKANI 5 years ago. He is focused, hardworking and attentive to any need that may arise. His rapid response and effortless style make him a valuable team member.
He is married with 2 children and in his free time he loves cycling, basketball and watching movies.
Kostas Evgenikos
Engineer
Konstantinos, a class A engineer and graduate of the merchant naval academy, was born in 1980. He also possesses certificates in passenger ship training (Ro/Ro) for the security of passengers. Having spent the last 20 years working aboard ships and rising to the position of chief engineer, he has a plethora of expertise. He began working aboard yachts five years ago, and since then, he has contributed his expertise to guaranteeing the efficient running of all the equipment on board. Konstantinos demonstrates strong teamwork abilities as well as exceptional problem-solving abilities. He holds a speed boat licence and speaks English.

Natali Stavridi

Natali, born in 1989, graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a degree in civil engineering. She is also certified as a barista SCAE from the Athens Coffee Academy and has a level 2 accreditation from the WSPC, the Certified Educational Organization for studies in wine, spirits, and beverages.She worked in numerous cafés and restaurants in Athens before rising to managerial positions in the food and beverage industry. Natali began her career in the yachting world in 2018 as a chef/stewardess for charter yachts of reputable yachting companies. She was responsible for housekeeping, cocktail mixing, docking, and serving high-quality, multi-course dinners every day. She has obtained all required qualifications for her industry during these years, including those from the STCW, RYA, and MLC for Food Safety and Hygiene (level 2). She has substantial Ionian sailing experience and has proven to be a great fit for the position. She pays remarkable attention to detail and has excellent situational awareness and thus is the perfect candidate for a leadership role on the "MAKANI II". Natali speaks fluent English and advanced French; she also enjoys swimming, freediving, hiking, and preparing Mediterranean-style meals. An avid problem solver, Natalie is is a grilling specialist with experience in the preparation, filleting, and cooking of fish. Additionally, she creates the most wonderful flower arrangements.

This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Fuel for the yacht and its tender, and the necessary water for the onboard facilities. Use of the Yacht’s onboard equipment and the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any food or beverages purchased ashore. Although optional, crew gratuity is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.

This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
