CAPTAIN - Ante Bazdaric - Croatian
Ante attended the Marine High School in Zadar and later graduated from the University of Maritime Affairs in Rijeka, Croatia. He spent almost six years as Deck Officer on cargo ships and tankers, later gaining further experience as Chief Mate and Captain on privately owned 36m MELISSA and 46m WHITE KNIGHT. He joined INDIGO STAR I in 2015 as Chief Officer for her cruise around the world and contributed with his organizational skills, team spirit and ability to easily adapt to different cultural environments and provide an unforgettable trip for the owner and his family. He stepped up as Captain in March 2022 and is keen to welcome charter guests on board!
CHIEF OFFICER - Marino Sturo - Croatian
While working as a seaman, Marino built himself as energetic and efficient worker with proven achievements in Deckhand positions on board yachts and passenger ships. He is a fast learner and a strong team player with excellent mechanical skills. His previous experiences gave him strong knowledge regarding sanding, painting, vanishing, carpentry, polishing, finishing and greasing machinery and equipment. He is committed to his work by managing daily routines to strict schedules and ensuring safety of the guests and crew at all times. In his spare time, Marino likes water sports, and sports in general.
DECKHAND - Marko Zubcic - Croatian
Marko begin working on boats at a young age and quickly developed all the necessary skills of seamanship. He is a hardworking and dedicated individual, and can communicate with people of all social standings. Marko immediately puts people at ease and is a welcoming face whenever you have a question or need. Marko previously worked as a deckhand aboard 30m GONE AWAY.

CHIEF ENGINEER - Zoran Jagnjic - Croatian
Zoran studied mechanics at technical high school and began his professional career as a commercial ship mechanic, working on container and cargo ships as well as bulk carriers. After 11 years at sea, Zoran came ashore and spent six years as a service technician for small boats, servicing inboard and outboard engines. In 2012, Zoran took his first job in the superyacht industry and joined the a 36m motor yacht as the sole engineer. At the end of the season, Zoran decided to further his education and successfully completed additional engineering studies. After receiving his EOOW license, Zoran joined the 24m charter yacht, BEST MOUNTAIN, followed by several successful positions aboard yachts such as the 57m sailing yacht MONTIGNE, 42m sailing yacht INMOCEAN and 55m motor yacht OCEAN PARADISE, before progressing to Chief Engineer in 2017. Since then, Zoran has held the Chief Engineer’s role on 42m INMOCTION and 41m SOPHIE BLUE, before finally bringing his 25 years of experience and extensive skills to INDIGO STAR I.

CHEF - Marjan Tomasic - Croatian
Marjan is extremely motivated and has a great passion for food or all kinds, but his expertise with Mediterranean cuisine is particularly impressive. During and after school, Marjan had various honorary, seasonal and permanent jobs where he developed a strong work ethic and a positive approach to new challenges. Although he studies were nautical, his lifelong passion for food and cooking could not be ignored. Marjan furthered his culinary skills at a notable restaurant before pairing his chef skills with a role onboard. Marjan is always looking to learn new things and often discusses ideas with the rest of the crew in order to offer world-class cuisine. Marjan is talkative and open-minded, positive and sociable. He is also a very responsible and hard-working person who takes stressful situations in his stride.

CHIEF STEWARDESS - Ljiljana Petrovic - Croatian
Ljiljana is a methodical Chief Stewardess with a strong reputation for leading within a fast paced environment and thriving whilst working under pressure and multitasking. She has the ability to provide an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and taking responsibility for operational and strategic Improvements. Ljiljana has a strong knowledge of yacht interior operation and excellent management and leaderships skills. She operates with diplomacy and resilient communication style and is teamwork orientated with the ability to thrive when working under pressure. She has skills to handle any complaints and emergencies in a level-headed manner, coupled with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle and resolve issues. She also has excellent knowledge of Silver service and of all types of service and housekeeping.
STEWARDESS - Lucia Kardum - Croatian
Lucia worked in a broad array of roles before finding her feet aboard yachts. Lucia volunteered at various humanitarian, art, sporting and social associations, which helped her to develop fantastic communication skills and she is always a popular conversationalist with guests. Lucia previously worked as a stewardess aboard 49m LASTAVICA, and was in charge of food service, table setup, laundry, food preparation and cocktail serving - extensive experience that serves her well in her role aboard Indigo Star I. Lucia is cheerful, talkative, sociable, curious and open minded - guests will never be bored with Lucia around!
