INTERLUDE Yacht Charter Catamaran
About
Interlude is a new (December 2021) Bali 4.8 that has been fitted out as a luxury sailing yacht with a full-time, live-aboard captain and chef/first mate, by a wealthy owner for the use of his family and personal guests. It has been equipped to provide a unique “Interlude Respite” for very busy and discerning people. It is not a typical charter company, hard-driven sailboat. The owner intends to offer the “Interlude” experience and first-class crew and amenities to discerning charter guests during November to June time frames that Interlude is not serving the needs of the Owner’s family and personal guests. The Owner takes great pride and has gone to particular expense in seeking to offering charter guests a first-class vacation- “Interlude”- from the moment they come aboard to the moment that they disembark. During Winter/Spring 2022 Season, guest feedback has been remarkable and helpful in formulating Interlude charters for a special and unique guest experience.

Captain
Crew
Brief
Sylvio was truly blessed, growing up on the shores of the Northumberland Strait, located on the Atlantic Coast of Canada, where most activities revolve around the sea in some manner. As a kid he learned to sail at his local sailing school and did so for 9 consecutive years, where he liked to race dinghies but most of all he just loved to sail. Ever since he's been a young man, there is something about the salty Atlantic air that awakens a sixth sense in him. Sailing answers and satisfies many things for him.
After a career as an entrepreneur and seeing his boys off to college, he decided to plot a new course in life and tacked towards a career in professional yachting. After earning his Captain RYA Yachtmaster Certification and all other prerequisite tickets, he's never looked back.
He is a kind and generous Captain and host, who respectfully engages with his guests with a relaxed and calm demeanor. He enjoys collaborating with the charter guests to create a customized Charter Plan, as per their wish list. Whether it’s cruising to a secluded beach paradise or visiting the Islands must see spots or anything in-between, you're the boss. Simply point the way and Syl will assure you're making the most of living in the moment while you're making life's unforgettable memories.
Chef/First Mate Amber Simard:
Growing up in New England Amber has always had a strong connection to the Sea and the bountiful food she provides.
After a land-based career in the United States and Ireland in the hospitality industry where she worked her way from the ground up from the front of the house to the back of the house she discovered her culinary flair and her ability to produce world class food service. It was simply a natural progression that her hospitality experience and her Culinary talents took her to professional yachting. Over the last 5 years she has cooked on Private and Charter Yachts throughout the Caribbean and the East Coast of the United States.
Her passion for culinary, yachting and traveling are intertwined; each giving her a world of insight into diverse cultures, food & ways of life.

Inclusions and exclusion are not standardized across the different yachts, with each offering slightly different terms. Please contact us for a proposal that details the yacht’s availability, individual pricing based on the number of guests in your party and particular dates, as well as the list of the inclusions and exclusions for that particular yacht.
This yacht offers an “All Inclusive” Rate:
Typically this includes all your breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. Standard Ship's Bar which includes your alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. This Yacht offers a “Plus Expenses” Rate:
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, airport transfers costs, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses. Crew gratuity, although optional is customary at 15% - 20% of the charter rate for the Caribbean and 10% - 15% for the Mediterranean.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance:
For "Plus Expenses" charters, yachts request an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is generally estimated at 20% - 25% of the base charter fee for sailing yachts (catamarans and monohulls) and at 30%-35% for motor yachts. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to purchase provisions, fuel, dockage, food, beverages, bar, and other consumables on the charterer's behalf. The Captain will keep all receipts and manage a running balance of the account, so that expenditures can be checked at any time. Any amount not used will be refunded at the end of the charter. If during the charter the costs have exceeded the collected APA, then additional funds will be required for the outstanding bills. All purchases are transparent and nothing is marked up. The APA is used purely for the charterer's provisions and charter-related expenses.
