Whether on vacation or away for holiday, you want to spend time doing the things you enjoy: swimming, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, tasting the local cuisine, and of course, shopping. St. Martin, St. Bart’s and Anguilla are not just known for their pristine crystal waters and white sandy beaches. These locations are also well-known for being duty- and tax-free, which is quite a benefit for those looking to take advantage of the islands’ luxury shops and boutiques featuring high couture designers.
Before you head out on your shopping spree, be sure you add these five locations to your itinerary:

From gems, jewelers, and perfume, to tropical fruits and fresh spices, you can find everything on your wish list in Marigot. The Marigot Port Royal Marina is especially enticing with lines of boutiques and galleries filled with clothing and local artists’ work. Marigot is the perfect place to take your time and relish in the native atmosphere; avoiding the bustling tourist areas near the cruise ship terminals. Popular shops include Tijon Perfumerie, J.N. Jewelers, and the Marigot Market.
Le West Indies Mall

Also located in Marigot, the Le West Indies Mall sits waterfront and truly delivers a grand, VIP-shopping experience for all guests. According to Frommers, the structure of the mall itself is astounding, as it sits as a “marbled stone, wood, and concrete structure with arches, skylights, curved staircases, and gazebos galore.” With three different levels, there’s a lot to explore. If you’re in search of fashions best, you can find items from designers such as Gucci, Dior, Lacoste, and many more.

There are three popular streets located in Gustavia that can be compared to Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive and New York City’s Madison Avenue: Quai de la République, Rue du Roi Oscar II and Rue du Général de Gaulle. Shoppers will find chic and trendy styles from fashion icons like Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, HERMES, Ralph Lauren, and the list goes on and on. It’s also not uncommon to see some of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities frequenting these boutiques and taking home their fair share of the island’s fashions.
Village of St. Jean
Getting away from the high-end designer brands, the village of St. Jean provides another shopping escape for those looking to make a statement with fashion-forward styles from small, chic boutiques. You won’t want to miss dropping by the Pelican Shops or La Villa Créole, where you can find both French and Italian clothing lines, watches, jewelry, beachwear, perfume, vintage wines, and even Cuban cigars. We highly recommend visiting stores such as Yume St. Barth and Lili Belle.
Anguilla Arts & Crafts Center
Anguilla presents a very different shopping experience compared to its counterparts of St. Martin and St. Bart’s. Luxurious, elegant fashions take a backseat to the island’s local craftsman and artist creations. Small boutique fashion shops find their place in or just outside popular Anguilla resorts, while art galleries and locations like the Anguilla Arts & Crafts Center are what drives the shopping interests on this island. Along with the Arts & Crafts Center, other trendy spots include the Devonish Art Gallery, the Cheddie Richardson Carving Studio, and the Stone Cellar Art Gallery.
