2021 BVI Charter Yacht Show & USVI Charter Yacht Show: Winner Highlights

Ritzy Charters brokers recently attended the industry trade shows held in the BVI and USVI. These annual shows returned with strong onsite presence this year, following the 2020 shows that were primarily virtual due to the pandemic. More than 65 crewed yachts participated in the shows, ranging from 45 foot sailing catamarans to 120 ft motor yachts, providing the opportunity for our brokers to inspect each yacht and its accommodations, meet and visit with the crew, and sample the chef’s cuisine.

Attendance at the shows is a critical element of Ritzy Charters first-hand knowledge of the yachts we offer to our clients. It is also important for reconnecting with industry contacts such as yacht managers and forging new relationships that enable us to provide outstanding service to our clients.
A highlight of the BVI show included a tour of Virgin Gorda’s North Sound with a stop at the newly reopened Saba Rock restaurant and hotel, Oil Nut Bay’s Nova Restaurant and villa accommodations, and a brief stop at the Bitter End Yacht Club which is poised to reopen on a limited basis for the holidays after complete annihilation by Hurricane Irma in 2017.

An important element of the shows is the competition for culinary honors, best crew, and overall best in show categories, voted on by the attending brokers and based on factors such as the yacht’s charterability (cleanliness, presentation, personal touches), and the crew attitude, likeability, and energy.

This year’s honors went to:
